The NHS Pharmacy First Scotland Plus service extends the support available through the standard Pharmacy First service, allowing patients to access assessment and treatment for a wider range of common conditions directly from the pharmacy.

NHS Pharmacy First Plus is an extension of the standard Pharmacy First service.
This service is more advanced, as it utilises Pharmacist Independent Prescribers who have advanced consultation and common clinical conditions skills. This allows them to assess and manage acute conditions in the pharmacy, on a walk-in basis, rather than waiting for an appointment with your GP.
If you have an acute condition that can't be dealt with under the standard Pharmacy First scheme, our team will ensure that you have a consultation with our in-house Pharmacist Independent Prescriber.
Examples of acute health conditions we can help with include ear pain, otitis externa/media, sore throat, tonsillitis, infected eczema and insect bites.
Please note the Independent Prescriber Pharmacists are not on duty at all times, so this service is not available 24/7
